nottingham paddles

Post by carlalvey » Tue Apr 16, 2013 6:23 pm

Hi all.

im looking to get some extra paddling in so looking to join someone or a group for a paddle during the week.
I can only make monday and tuesday evenings and only every other week due to working shifts.
I drive and finish work at 3pm.
Anyone fancy meeting for some extra time on the water.
Iv been paddling for just over a year and did my 2star last september so kinda a 3star if did the test, just havnt got round to it yet.
Not quite up to being left to go it alone at hpp.

One last thing,i work in leicester and live in nottingham.

cheers

carl

Hi Carl. I'm in the same situation as you working shifts and wanting time at Hpp. Have paddled it for years but not as much as i'd like recently. Are you on days nxt wk by any chance as i was thinking of going nxt Tuesday?

By the way, i'm a L3TI (a bit rusty and in need of some practice myself). So i plan to be going over my own river running skills as well as trying to loop my boat at some point.

If you'd like to join me i may be able to give you a few pointers along the way.

Cheers, Kev.

Hi
Thanks for the offer but I feel I may be more of a pain than partner.
Iv done a couple of the features there but very limited practice.
Maybe in a few months when Iv got a little more experience ill join you and when being rescued is less likely.

No probs chap, better to go there when you feel ready for it. If you would like time on the flat Trent above the course for an hour or so instead, getting some rolling and support drills in let me know, would be a good warm up for me!

Cheers.
