Post by Oli_31 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 7:06 pm

were staying with inlaws in Keith this weekend and i'm keen to bring the sea kayak and do a wee bit of the Moray coast, any locals fancy showing me the highlights? pretty flexible with days / evenings

I'm local but I'll probably continue with some skiing this weekend as conditions are brill.
You could try posting on FB,look up Deveron canoe Club or there's the Moray club, both have active sea paddlers.
This weekend's conditions are looking reasonably benign, various bits of the coast are brill,Findochty(Finechty) to Portsoy are my favourite, any where around about Sandend(ace surf too if conditions allow) or further afield Troup(east of Gardenstown) has impressive coastline and birdlife.
Enjoy
Tony
