Austrian river guide?

Post by Johnleddo »

Does any one know of any other river guides to Austria, other than the north alps Knowles book?

I paddled there last year with some French paddlers and they had a map that had been published with minimal info, just stuff like put in's and take out, wiers and expected max grade.

The extent of the runs on it was really good and made the north alps guide look like a beginners intro to Austria.

If anyone can help me track down a copy of this map or knows who publised it or what it is called I'd be really grateful.

Thanks
John

was it in German? if so probably the Alpine Kayak Club guide, although that can be very detailed in its full form.

or of course it could be the Austrian's own:
http://kajak.at/171/flussdatenbank.html (river guides) and
http://kajak.at/Fluesse/index.php?land=1 (river map)
