Spray deck size

Post by r.t.swing » Fri Feb 07, 2014 2:45 pm

I have a spray deck that says it's for cockpit size "B" that is a real tight fit on my Venture Islay - will this fit my new purchase, a cappella 167, or do I need another deck?

I presume that to be a Bigdeck - which I'd suspect will fit a Capella 173 but may well be too big for your smaller version. See http://www.palmequipmenteurope.com/gear ... sizing.php

Then again, much will depend on how the deck conforms to the cockpit shape, and of course whether it has kevlar or not - sizes and fittings do vary a bit, so I suggest you try it before making any decisions.

Thanks for the link, if I do need to get a new deck, can someone recommend one to me. I am usually playing along the Essex coast most conditions.

I use a Seals deck on a T/race - it is superb. My partner uses a Palm deck on her Capella and seems happy with it. The Playboater decks are supposed to be good.
