Looking for a lightweight (preferably Carbon/Kevlar) stability 4-6 marathon boat (e.g. Tor, Sceptre, Epsilon, Eta, Raven) suitable for larger paddler (up to 95kg)

Hi Grouchmonkey,

I am selling a hell of a boat: epic elite marathon.
Just see:
http://www.kanubox.de/articles/berlin-e ... e-marathon
Please translate with the google translator cause details in german.
Unfortunatly the boat is in Berlin, but transport is possible ( i did it with an NDK Zriton double) cause many Seakayaks are going the other way and this cargospace ist empty from Ger to the UK.
Cheers
tom

Looks like a nice boat but perhaps too wobbly for me? I am not familiar with the model and have not paddled one, but the websites indicate it is a wobble factor 2 or thereabouts?

Well, yes it is a K1 used from a member of the German National Team. So its probably one of the fastest boats for marathon and you should test something similar before buying it. The newest ICF K1s are more wobbly - where did you find this boat being compared in the internet? I am selling mainly because I am a sea kayaker and now will be switching to the epic V12/14 surfski.

Yes, definitely too whizzy for me. there are a number of resources on the internet for checking stability ratings. I use the Norwich CC stability ratings list and purple paddler"s list here

http://www.purplepaddler.com/support-fi ... akdata.pdf

and for this boat in particular, it is on a Danish site
