Real Junior Sized Sea Boats^

Post by Keith White » Fri Sep 02, 2011 1:43 pm

My lad is using this one from the club right now and loving it. Unfortunately, two kids are fighting over it's use and I've priced up this, a Polyform and they aren't cheap.

This is a glass boat but it doesn't have to be glass. Anyone seen anything else ? Might even be worth building a SOF.

I'm looking at options.

I paddled a Prijon Catalina for many years, would suit a youngster. I now paddle an Avocet LV which is probably a bit too pricey.

Have a look at the BIC Adventure kayak

I saw one recently in a watersports shop near Pwllheli and was very impressed with the standard of manufacture and outfitting. A 'proper' little sea kayak.

You can't go wrong with a Mega Blaze. Loads of build options, custom colurs and UK made. I used to have one in carbon kevlar and loved it, but it was a bit tight for my feet, but then I'm not a kid.

They are 14'. I sold mine to a small adult. Should have kept it, but needed to fund a Tiderace!
