Fidden campsite - Mull

Post by seawolf856 »

Does anybody know if the campsite at Fidden on Mull ever reopened after the lockdown? Have you stayed there this year? I'm just thinking ahead to next year for a visit to Mull. Thanks.

We were there a few weeks ago. Parking during the day is fine but it was very clear that camping is not an option at the moment. No idea re long term plans

It was open during the summer holidays 2021. We stayed about 4 weeks in July and August. No showers, but water and two portaloos available. Your own toilet is encouraged.

I live on Mull - Fidden Farm only opened to ‘self contained’ users e.g. motorhomes with toilets this year. The shower and toilet block remained closed. Haven’t heard what their plans are for next year. The campsites that were open were very busy.

Walked past it today - closed sign was up and "no camping" signs on the land beside it. I didn't see anyone around to ask about next year though
So much sea - so little time to see it.

Sadly only here for a week, but what a spot!

Yes, I had planned a week on Mull based at Fidden before the Pandemic hit. I have been to Mull before but on mountain bikes not in sea kayaks and it is definitely on the list to return to hopefully in 2022.
