Heyup
Does anyone know of a U.K. supplier of full plate footplates that could be retro fitted to a Valley Etain. Preferably not a foam block. Something like

Thanks in advance

The side mounted ones have the disadvantage of having to allow for the hull getting narrower as the rest moves forward. To get round this mine are attached on a centre pole / tube / bar. This can go back to the seat (aft end) if necessary and rest in/on a support attached to the bulkhead (front end). For my kayaks, a bulkhead attachment for the bar to slide into and a nylon (toilet seat) bolt epoxied to the keelson at the aft end.

These are hinged for the rudder but the same (single plate) has been used for the front paddler in a double.
Buy one? Why?
Scrap plywood, a bit of plastic water pipe (instead of a metal bar), a handsaw and some glue. Probably take half an hour, an hour if slow, to make.
