Heads up - cheap camping mat

Post by PlymouthDamo » Wed Aug 15, 2018 7:31 pm

A couple of days ago I bought a 'Crivit Lightweight Camping Mat' from Lidl. They'd obviously been one of their weekly specials from a few weeks earlier as they are now being sold with 30% off, making them £12.50. Have a look on YouTube to see a couple of people reviewing them.

One of my favourite bits of camping kit is my Thermarest NeoAir mat because they are amazingly compact and comfortable (unlike the self-inflating Thermarests) but they are hellishly expensive. These Crivit things actually pack down to half the size, are quicker to inflate and are only marginally heavier. I've had a lie down on it and it seems pretty comfortable - the air tubes stick out more, but it's got just as much give, so no dead arms etc.

At the price, it's worth having a nose around if you're in a Lidl in the next few days.
