Operation Jaywick

Post by Murray carp » Sun Jul 15, 2018 2:49 am

G’day all

I’m a member of a group planning a re-enactment of the op Jaywick paddle for the 75th anniversary of that commando raid. We are taking a bunch of modern day veterans, including a couple of double amputees and island hopping from Panjang island to Singapore. We were going to use kleppers, however our source of these has fallen through. We are now trying to hire some double kayaks from Singapore but are having difficulty finding a source. Does anyone have any suggestions on obtaining 5 to 7 double kayaks in Singapore?

Thanks for any help

Marty

Fantastic idea! Considering it was a z force job with close ties to Australia current special forces, have you tried contacting the Australian commando association to see if they could source some kleeepers?

Well we ended up getting enough folding kayaks together for 10 paddlers. Here's a report on Sky news
