Delphin bilge pump exit

Post by blueythe » Tue Mar 07, 2017 3:39 pm

I know this topic is the subject of a number of threads that have provided some really useful info. Fitting an electric bilge pump to my delphin is on my list of things to do. From the previous posts I am pretty sure what gear I will be using but I am struggling as to the best position for the exit hole on a delphin corelite x mainly due to the corrugation behind the cockpit. Any advice with photos please would be greatly appreciated

I haven't got around to doing mine yet but intend sticking it exactly where those ridges are.

Either cut the hole, insert the outlet and fill the valleys between the ridges with your goo of choice (Sikaflex / Silicone or similar).

Or, mark the size of the outlet outer diameter, cut / grind away the ridges with a chisel or Dremel device, fit flush to the deck.
Im fairly sure I will be using this approach.
