What glue for Reed Aquatherm?

Post by PlymouthDamo »

I've agreed to put a new neck seal on a mate's Reed paddling suit, but I've never worked with Aquatherm before. I usually use 2-part drysuit repair glue (sometimes branded as 'StormSure' and 'StormCure') but I don't know if this will adhere to Aquatherm. I plan to use a neoprene seal - does anyone know which glue will adhere to both?

I'm wanting to crack on with it asap, however I'm only interested in hearing from anyone who's actually done it - otherwise, I'll just hold fire until Reed are open in the New Year and ask them.

Ta.

Pretty sure I used Bostick 2402 when I made an aquatherm top - glued all the seam tape on with it (not very tidy) and fitted a neoprene neck seal.
Small chance I stitched the neck seal, but I don't have a walking foot and have previously found it near impossible to sew neoprene without one so I think not.

I never wear it, it's too damn hot!
