Mega Diamanté Blaze for sale.

Post by stroppymonkey » Sat Apr 26, 2014 1:38 pm

Sadly having a massive cull of boats due to work/space restrictions.

I bought this one for my Fiancé to use but sea/expedition kayaking isn't her thing so it's only been used on the local lake twice... And sat in the rack ever since.

Carbon Kevlar Hull with white gel coat, Carbon Kevlar deck in hot pink...
Twin hatches, retractable Skeg, deck Lines... All the usual stuff..

14 foot long, smallest of the 4 boats available from Mega and for the smaller paddler on expeditions or larger paddler on day trips..

When it finally stops raining I'll take some better photos but for now this one is all I've got.

Please note that the boat is the only thing for sale... The paddles and paddler are already taken :-)

£1050 Ono

Boat located on Devon Cornwall border, 15minutes from A30 / 1 hour from M5 junction 30

Please pm with any questions.

Ben

For this Blaze I am seeking £950 Ono...

Many thanks.

Update.

Just took the boat out of dry storage and moved it to the decking for a wash off and photo shoot.
Hung it off my luggage scales (not sure how accurate) and it weighed in at 18.5kg (includes seat, backrest, hatches and a good layer of dust)

Is this heavy or light for a sea kayak?

Quite light Ben,

We have one similar and it's not used for heavy duty paddling but makes a great day boat and picks up a following sea well.

Also great for accurate rockhopping (that's where you don't touch the rocks!)

I've been rock hopping in a plastic boat many times. I'm not sure I would risk a composite sea boat!

Once upon a time there were no plastic boats and we still went rockhopping....

We also learnt how to repair fibreglass overnight so we go again the next day..

And we paddled white water in glass kayaks and repaired them too overnight.

A new self built 'snipe' or similar cost £27.00 in materials and two or three evenings hard graft in a smelly workshop so if you broke it too badly you just built another!

Ah, those were the days or where they?

Paul.

Lol. Rock hopping in a £27 boat a little different than rock hopping in a boat that costs the best part of a months wages!

Some photos...

Not that happy with them as the sun went low and I couldn't get the focus right... But better than nothing.
