Mega Surf-on-Top fin set up

Hi folks,
I recently bought one of the above-named boats and I'm working on getting it kitted out to suit me.
I have a couple of physical disabilities so settled for a SoT after trying & failing to use a regular surf boat - basically I got stuck in it a couple of times & didn't fancy drowning for fun so I got rid.
Anyway, I'm having a think about options for fins on the Mega SoT.
Has anyone tried surfing one of theses boats with longer fins, fewer fins (eg just the outer fins and/or just the centre fin) or even without fins at all?
I have surfed it a wee bit aleady and love it, especially the relative ease of getting on & off it compared to a closed cockpit boat, but just want to explore options on kitting it out.

Hi mate,I have owned one for about 5 years and experimented with all sorts of fins on mine,I always go for slightly larger centre fin than the 2 outers,at the moment I have a 4 inch centre and two 3 inch outers on,If you have trouble finding a 4 inch centre fin AO surf equipment make them.I have tried with just 2 fins and no fins at all and didn't like it

I also recently purchased a Mega SoT and have been thinking about different fin options. I've heard some people have tried longer fins or even just using the outer or center fin. It's great to hear that you're enjoying the ease of getting on and off the boat compared to a closed cockpit one.

I have a longer centre fin in mine - I’ll check as it was in it when I got it secondhand. Loving mine too. Such a fun boat - it’s completely opened up surf kayaking for me. Always wanted to do it but being in a boat in surf just freaks me out. With the SOT I’m getting the hang of it and getting used to being in surf. I might go back to a sit in one day but for now this is the boat for me.
