Hi,
Friends son (13 yr) starting white water kayaking and they don't have a load of cash. They have bought a 2nd hand Dagger GT but they need a paddle for him. Struggling to find a decent youth paddle other than Werner Amigo and Kober Flame, both over 100 quid. Ainsworth do a paddle for 40 quid, Junior River http://www.ainsworthpaddles.co.uk/Kayak ... etric.html
Does anyone know if this paddle is any good, especially for white water novice?
Thanks
Youth White Water Paddle
Re: Youth White Water Paddle
Whilst I've now moved on, I used an aluminium shaft plastic blade paddle for my first year of g2/3 paddling. Cost me £10 second hand. I traded up to a playboater carbon shaft fibre reinforced plastic blade for £20 on ebay that is still going strong.
Whilst I also now have a cranked werner (£100 ebay, great condition), so I don't dismiss how good decent kit is, I reckon you can go a long way on a budget.

Have you also considered the TNP Junior Kayak Paddle?
