Red River Mohawk 15 on River Towy 22nd Oct

Post by Wynner » Mon Oct 23, 2017 4:12 am

River Towy, Red Mohawk EX-15 pinned river left at SN765408 in a steep sided gorge (about 7k upstream of Llandovery) just above 3 lots of fallen trees (un-runnable), roped off. The only gear on it is a 25 foot throw line, all else recovered. Also lost higher up Werner Natahala paddle at 60 inches, two pins at 90degrees though the shaft to help pin the handle. Any in information or someone fancy a having a go please advise.

Thank you for those very useful updates. Can you kindly advise on the current access, in the past we've got on by the bridge /layby below Junction Pool but gather that is now fenced off. I see reports of a path down the bank 100m upstream from the Bridge, also of access at Rhandirmwyn Bridge and finally approaching the campsite at the next Bridge down. Any advice would be appreciated as well as any update on the blockages or of portaging them.
Thanks for your help, Mike, Croydon Active Paddlers
