Are the goggle straps easily removable, without leaving holes in the back of the helmet?

Why would you remove the goggle strap? You aren't going to claim its a snag hazard are you?

Don't think it would be advisable, but I haven't found it an issue on mine (know several other people using the ski lids for boating too, no-one's found it a problem), I'd just leave it on.

Not an issue but when (if) you're drying the helmet out, undo the popper as this stops it corrodong on the inside and seizing up. This happened to me and I ripped the popper off the strap. Sweet replaced it through the shop I bought it from no problems though so good customer service

I use a rambler (ski wanderer) for kayaking and skiing and its brilliant for both. one thing I would say is spend plenty time getting the fitpads correct as they are super sticky and won't come off after they go on

My sweet beanies arrived a couple of days ago. I didn't read the small print when I ordered. The bit that says delivery will take 4-6 weeks after sale ends or something like that. But they did arrive eventually and as ordered.

Sport pursuit dont purchase your items until the kit has actually sold. Hence they have no dead stock and most of the money is profit which is also why they can get it all at such dirt cheap prices. They get a list from suppliers of quantities and what stock they want to get rid of and then they sell it and send a purchase order to the suppliers.

Good buisness thinking... ( I think thats how you spell buisness lol)....

Bits i ordered just turned up.

Got a wanderer helmet for snowboarding, and one of their union suit style thermals.. ALthough the legs are quite short on it, 3/4 lenght..

My Sweet thermals turned up today too.

^^ The legs are 3/4 length so you can use them with ski boots.

My gear has finally arrived, a month after the original given delivery date. But missing a few bits that I ordered.

Can't really recommend Sportpursuit, based on my experience.

I ordered a few things not long after the original post on this thread. They arrived when they said they would, all good.
I've ordered some more bits that based on the dates indicated should arrive in time for christmas (I hope).

I didn't order any Sweet gear however I have now placed 3 orders with them. 2 of those orders have cancelled. I have received an apology, a free running T-shirt and a £5 credit even so I would have preferred what I ordered.

They really need to sort out their relationship with their suppliers otherwise their reputation is going to be in tatters.

In future I think I will only order things that I wouldn't mind having at a bargain price rather than items I really need.

I've placed two orders, for Sweet and Helly Hansen kit, both of which turned up circa 3 weeks after ordering (as advertised at the time). I heard about them through a ski forum, where they seem to have a very good reputation, maybe they've grown more quickly than expected, and struggled to stay up to date with orders?

Prices are unbeatable when they do work out, anyway.

I would disagree with you there, in some cases. Mountain Factor which is a real shop with real stock in Ambleside often have Icebreaker at those and better prices, both instore and online. The on-one/planet-x kit that they had was slightly cheaper than on the Planet-X website but worse once shipping was taken into account. Only saying you do need to check, particularly as they are offering things they can't always deliver. It is an interesting model (which I am not against) but it will cause misery to outdoor shops and then all of us when this is the only way to purchase stuff.

I ordered a helmet and a couple of hats they all arrived within 10 days, however one of the hats was faulty so got in touch with them and asked what I should do they told me not to worry about returning the faulty item (it wasn't to bad just some missing/unfinished stitching) and they sent out a replacement as well also within 10 days so ended up wih a free hat. So it's seems there has definitely been a few differing experiences but I certainly had a positive experience with all aspects delivery and customer service and would happily use them again.

It is pretty apt that at the same time as we are all bemoaning the loss of some great kayak shops, we are also complaining that the service from a website that specialises in bypassing shops and selling excess stock at budget prices is poor.

If good service is important to us, maybe we should be prepared to pay for it.

I think it really depends on what you are shopping for which service you will use. If I want a merino wool thermal I am not looking for advice as to which one to buy, I know which one I want. Therefore (unless I really want this seasons colour!) I will buy the cheapest one I can find (usually on the internet).

If I want a BA/ boat (unless replacing like for like) I will want advice and to try so will pay more by going to a shop and getting the advice.

I have been made redundant twice in 4 years so understand how the Brookbank staff feel but on the flip side I have to watch the pennies as I am on a contract role and don't know what my job situation will be like in the future.

Is the Rambler exactly the same spec as the Wanderer apart from the goggle stowage?
