This is full spate I would guess.

Looks a little like the Cwm Gwynant, which is super fun, or the tributary to the Afon Wen / Wen itself

Yes, you are right it is indeed the Gwynant.
It was steaming down yesterday, both river and road.
People staying in YHA were heading out in case the road totally flooded, and it was pretty close just below there.

It's a fun run!!
There is so much to do in the whole Mawddach watershed, from
teeny tiny streams, big falls, to cranking big rapids. I can list well over 30+ different sections. Miss there area heaps!!

Hmmmm, not sure about "fun run" at this level. I'll take your word for it.
Still looking at the Google Street view pictures it looks a very pretty river system.
But, you will see from the short video I managed to stitch together, not for the faint hearted last weekend!

It is a beautiful valley, quiet, visited seldomly by kayakers. I miss and love the greenary, damp moss, thundering water, amazing whitewater, the variety of the whole area.
if you get the chance to run it, go for it, watch for wood, it's not the best quality ww in the area, but it's a great little run, and worth it for sure.
I did try and list in my mind the other day, the sections of the area, there are a lot, and most are very very good!!
