Best place to buy GoPro

Post by Mad_Erik »

Where is the best place to buy GoPro cameras? Is there anywhere that does BCU/MLTE discount?

Do you need a super computer to process the footage or would an average laptop do it?

Thanks guys :-)

You don't need a really powerful machine. Where to buy? Dogcams, action cameras, amazon etc You can pick the HD2 up for just over £200.

You might want to read this - http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?p=1779 if you are gong for the HD2

Loads of other GoPro/Kayak stuff here - http://www.unsponsored.co.uk/press/?cat=27

Surf-Lines in North Wales can get them in and do 10% discount for BCU members on most purchases. You'd have to check with someone in the shop that that applies here, but worth a pop.

Drop them a message on info@surf-lines.co.uk or 01286879001.

You can get the HD2 for a much better price than just 10% off

I have just bought camera number two at 20% off.

I got mines in the Sates for under £180 for the Hero2,

so I would find someone heading over bung them some money and ask them to pick you one up

Go on then, where did you get 20% off and how much did you pay? HD2 Outdoor?

I have also found that the motorsport version is as useful for paddling as the helmet pack.
Ebay 206.49 plus 1.99 delivery - supposed to be UK dispatch so should be no VAT/duty sting in the tail but as always buyer beware.

In the uk Dog cam sport are the supplier, they do all kinds of systems as well as go pro, the only flaw with buying them in the states as i found out when mine flooded is they are not covered by warranty... now facing having to replace the unit.

My HD and first HD2 came from Dogcam. Great service. 10% and 15% discount can be found via Google.
