The details you want from Facebook are

The Dee River Festival
Welcome to the Facebook home of the first Dee River Festival to be held on the weekend of 24/25th March 2012 at Mile End Mill White Water Centre in Llangollen.

Paddling workshops, evening lectures and entertainment and FREE kayak and canoe demo's from the UK's top manufacturers are just a smattering of the weekends activities to look forward to.

We will be posting event information as we confirm it but in the meantime stick a pin in your 2012 calenders for this exciting new event.

There are five of us who've got together to make things happen:

Chris Leesmith - Chris from Paddleworks had the idea in the first place and is doing most of the legwork.
Andy Turton - Andy's work with River Legacy is proving invaluable in sorting out logistics and specifics.
Ali Othen - Ali's sorting out the coaching side - arranging workshops, sorting out coaching and so on.
Emma Runciman - Emma's sorting out the online booking side - by next week you'll be able to book workshops and lecture tickets online.
Me - I'm sorting out the evening talks and some other bits and pieces.

There's been loads of interest so far, and we're hoping to build on it year by year. The website should go up in the next few days...

Looks like they will have a pretty good range of suppliers there. I'm looking to try the new Titan Genesis, if they do it in my size. Plus the Jackson Rockstar.

I'll stick up a proper post in the events forum, but thought it would be useful to add in here that it's on 23-25 March, and:
