I Love the ripples of applause that happens as he make a subtle move
I would have caught an edge first turn and had wet knees for the rest of the proformance

I have seen that before think it was in the "This is Canoning " DVD The woman in it was very very good indeed

This is the sort of video that gets loads of bad press on the various canoe websites, its for sure a niche, great skills but not to everybodys taste.

I've seen it before, but I thought it was known as "style canoeing."

It's cool in a "I have completely mastered this boat" kind of way. I must admit, I do love the way an inside pivot turn feels when you do it well...

Impressive skills, but I can't forgive "the lady in red"

Yes the paddling is quite impressive but I have to admit, when beardy nodded and the godawful Chris De Burgh started I did snort in derision.

I'm probably missing some important element of irony in that, but IMHO he makes himself look a complete t**t (and emphasises the skill level involved in the original).

Very stylish, good use the waiscoat but moving on from flatwater he'll need to get a decent beret and loose that dickie bow.

Fortunately I was watching it with the sound off so my soul has remained untainted by C de Burks vile dirge. However the demonstration has certainly made me think that there is rather more to canoeing than I had previously realized. I assume the boat is a bit more specialized than the standard club tugs?

Hahaha! I didn't put the sound on before when I saw this clip. Aside from the fact that is actually the worse song in the world ever, why is this genius sport of rhythmic canoe gymnastics not on the cards for the Olympics?

Coz the Olympics require a minimum number of countries competing, not just the US ;-)

Oh yeah I forgot, that video must have been from the world series. They should also have synchro freestyle canoeing.
