Cheap on line WWPF Tickets

Post by james fleming »

Folks there are cheap tickets on line here.

There is a £10:00 difference if you book them on line to paying at the door. So if there are four travelling in a car, you could save £40:00

Kerching!

It’s a no brainer

Thanks for the feedback, we have made some modifications to the form and have now carried out testing. It is now possible to enter using some mobile devices.

If anyone else is having difficulty, please contact us with details of the issue and we will aim to resolve it as soon as possible.

Just looked at buying tickets online, however when I get to the page for entering the credit card details the site is not showing as loading via a secure connection(HTTPS). Is this correct for everyone, if so, how secure is the connection, or am I just being paranoid about entering credit card details onto a site that doesn't appear to be secure?

Do CE organise anything like WWPF? The only thing I can remember is Indoor Kayaking which doesn't involve kayaks or water (strange for a watersport)

We have now received a reply from our service provider:
I can assure you the connection is secure, however it does not display a https secure url when you use an iframe.
The registration forms https url is not visible when an iframe is used, instead people will see your url.

Bingo!

That's just poor web design.

If you go here ( http://www.regonline.sg/Register/Checki ... tID=982531 ) instead, after the initial sign up the site will go properly secure.

Hi,

Was just about to buy a ticket online and couldn't find out on the website what this includes. I notice you get a t-shirt and entrance to a party but was wondering if camping is included and if so where it is?

Ticket cost is for the T-shirt, shuttles on both rivers, the bar on Friday night, the party on Saturday night & the organisation of the event.

Camping / bunkhouses can be found at various places around Fort William, but Inverlochy campsite has always been WWPF friendly.

Cheers Neil,

That makes sense. I couldn't see anywhere on the website that explained it. So do most people stay at Inverlochy then - sounds good.

I am not sure that most people stay there, certainly some kayakers. Many use the multitude of bunkhouses around the area, some sleep in their cars (but be very careful of being drunk and doing this, the police can breathalise you and prosecute). I think, from memory, Inverloch campsite (Tel: 01397 703446) was more than happy to take kayakers - perhaps ring and check, people were previously turned away from the Glen Nevis site.
