GoPro HD (an admission)

Post by Tom_Laws » Wed Jan 26, 2011 9:29 pm

I admit it, I was wrong. The GoPro HD is really good, and my previous headcam didn't measure up. Hurrah for eBay.

First play with it : http://www.flowfree.co.uk/2011/01/a-new-perspective/

Brim.

Yeah, maybe. It was a first go, and I'm sure Rich doesn't mind the advertising! I am going to get the chest cam and handlebar mounts. Just built an interesting mount as well, watch this space.

I'm waiting for the first GoPro footage from a remote controlled helicopter. Gotta be the way forwards for some awesome angles.

Definitely seen some MotoX and mountain bike videos from an RC Heli. Sick-tastic.

Best GoPro HD stuff I saw was via a cablecam someone had rigged up. Might have been one of the Sickline videos. But it was officially sanctioned by GoPro if I remember.

I think that may have been done by the same people who did a Panorama film I watched while in Norway about the Hardangerfjord area... It was a beautiful if strange film, panoramic helicopter images of the amazing mountainous scenery, fjiords and glacier interspersed with random acts of brutal animal killing, all housed in a museum full of once great and majestic animals reduced to being stuffed and stood there gathering dust...
Odd.
