Not been kayaking to as many places as Tim, but here's one from a couple of years ago...

Looks like that awesome drop at the end of the Gronda under the bridge in the village?

At the risk of jumping the queue, does anyone know where this is? I can't remember and I'm trying to sort a few old pics out.
It will be Europe.

Thanks... and please feel free to carry on with the regular thread!

That looks like early on the Ubaye gorge, with the steep scree slopes up to the road in the background.

Here's an unusual angle of a popular river:

Looks a little bit like a could be an unusual camera angle of Dog Leg on the Tees.... OR the sneaky river right right right line on the same rapid.. but then the water looks the wrong colour.

Sure it's not the first grade 4 on the n'esk? It's known as rocks of solitude, triple step and double drop depending on who you ask...

Correct, but I have only ever known it as 'the rocks of solitude'.

Over to you,

I agree, definitely Verzasca - end of the middle/start of the lower - a little way above the "cave drop".

Yep the Verzasca, and Poke has it exactly. I believe this one's called Lucifer's - deceptively gnarly, and just above the cave drop.

Looks a bit like like one of the rapids early on in Spean Gorge? Next to a ruined pillar from an old bridge?
Though, the only thing that makes me think that's a stupid guess is that an open boat isn't going to be much fun downstream!

I was thinking the Middle Findhorn (Logie Bridge to Randolph's Leap). Three divers thoughts there.

Murray is correct (it is downstream of the Spean), we even saw a seal, well above the tidal section:

It's neither of those, also it's not a UK river!
