New Zealand photos needed

Post by Mark R »

I'm editing together something on Middle Earth (sorry, New Zealand) for the 'Paddles' magazine World Guide. Trouble is, photos are thin on the ground.

Does anyone have reasonable quality shots of the country and the paddling? The rivers below are featured in the article, but any shots that show the character of Kiwi paddling are fine.

Wairoa (North Island)

Rangitikei (North Island)

Shotover (South Island)

Karamea River (South Island, West Coast)

Arahura (South Island, West Coast)

Perth (South Island, West Coast)

Post here or mail me mark@ukriversguidebook.co.uk

Money IS involved if you can help.

Cheers,

I am heading out to NZ in December for a couple of months, so my photos will probably be too late. But if you get stuck, you could try to get one of the guiding companies to send some photos on. I've just been looking at www.riverplay.co.nz - they have some nice shots on their website. I'm sure that they would swap some photos for a mention. Otherwise try the forum on www.rivers.org.nz

I'll probably miss the published article - any chance of a sneaky preview?

Mark,
Ive got about 30 possible shots - none from the Perth, Karamea or Rangitaikei though.
Most my Wairoa ones are from the race, though the nxt release is in just under 2 weeks so I could get some fresh ones then.
Most are from a 3.2Mp digi cam though I also have a few 35mm that I could scan, its probably gonna be about 40mb worth so I may ahve to go and find a Broadband internet cafe.

let me know the addresses

cheers

tom
