It is my comprehension that construction is already under way?

Petition website blurb wrote:The works on the river's site have started, justified by a technocratic gibberish that tries to turn this looting into a good thing.
I'd go for a yes.

If you're signing it by the way, you get an e-mail (from COLLECTIF SALVEMU RIZZANESE (contact at rizzanese.fr) ) sent to the address you put that you need to click on the link to confirm.

There seems to be paucity of solid information about this project. I met a Corsican paddler a few months back and she said that the construction is near completion. Her assessment was that after the project is completed, the Rizzanese would be almost entirely dewatered and that somehow the Codi would be gone as well.

So it seems that Spring 2009 could be the last season for the big drop on the Rizzanese and the Codi, a European creeking classic.

Cool. I might see you there so; I'm trying to get the crew together for a return trip, but they keep mumbling about April being prime paragliding season...

I am posting the link on all my friend's facebook walls even if they aren't paddlers. If it just helps to show support and the scheme goes ahead anyway, it will give the local paddlers at the frontline of the problem a lift. xxxx
