Does anybody know of any playspots around hull?

not heard of any, there's Howsham Weir just outside of York, but not sure what it's like at this time of year.

There's nothing around here which is a total pain. The only plus point is that the coast is so near for a bit of surf. As already said Howsham is your nearest bet.

Move away! I lived there for the most miserable 3 months of my life, the only thing that kept me going was knowing that I was living in the richest and most respected city's in europe with multiculturism and friendly loocals all over the place.

ditto. Get yourself a surf kayak, learn the rules and have some fun.

You live within an hours drive of some great breaks.

In fact thinking about it for my house to flood it would take the small river/large stream at the bottom of my valley to rise by about 230ft! Now that would take a hell of a lot of rain!
