those pesky BCU licences

Post by waverley610 »

Hello all, new to paddling and would like to know do I really need to display that pesky BCU sticker on my kayak when I venture on to the river?
I will be locally on the Thames, Wey canal etc. Can I not just stick it inside the boat?

As you will be using the Thames and assuming that Wey canal is under British Waterways, then you will need to display that sticker to conform to the terms of the licences.

You'll be fine, as long as you have it to hand somewhere.

I am more concerned about the fashion police, than the waterways inspectorate... it's an ugly sticker :b
