Perception Supersonic cockpit cover help

Hi All,
I'm new to all this, so I'm hoping someone can provide some advice please.
My son has bought a Perception Supersonic kayak, and needs a nylon cockpit cover for outside storage. I'm confused by the sizes, the first one we bought was the right length, right width at the back of the cockpit, but too narrow at the front. All this despite the measurements being correct, so I presume this is a keyhole shape one.
Can anyone with a Supersonic give some advice on an appropriate one that will be the right size please? I'm puzzled by terms such as "bigdeck" etc, so don't want to order another one that's still too small, or much too big! Obviously it's mostly going to be used to keep the weather, leaves, spiders out, but will be useful to have a cover that can be secure for local driving.
According to the original brochure, the cockpit size is 33x19 inches (84 x 48cm). This what I ordered against, but the shape of the cover tapers too much towards the front, so can't be stretched to fit unfortunately.
Many thanks for your help,
Dave.
