Help me identify this river

Post by banzer » Thu Oct 18, 2018 8:43 pm

Please excuse the guy in the photo, he's not a paddler and I don't know why one trouser leg appears to be higher than the other. I just feel I should be able to recognise the WW behind him which looks British to me and with the fences behind someone might just get it. Over to you...?

Don't think its dog-leg because of the fence, and the bank looks too high and wooded (although the dog may have got his trouser leg), but maybe top of High Force somewhat foreshortened?

My first though was also dog leg, taken from the middle island (need to leap over the right hand channel)

Actually, looking at the fence in the background that could well be the other side of the river at the top of High Force

Well done fellow river nerds - he says you are right! Just above High Force. :)
