Pfunds, Austria - Kayak Hire

Post by Mantaray »

Does anyone know if it's possible to rent kayaks in the Pfunds area of Austria? Meeting up with friends for a week of paddling early July.

Thanks.

No idea about Pfunds, but you can rent from Source2Sea just outside Innsbruck

Thanks, Clarky. That's a little too far away from where I'm starting from and need to be.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm starting to worry now!

I don't think there is anything really that far up the valley. Source2Sea is probably your best bet if you don't know anyone working at the rafting companies to borrow off.

http://www.sportcamptirol.at/kajak.en.html

Website says they still hire boats and only 30km away at bottom of Sanna and Landeck gorge sections.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Steve at gokayaking got back to me and it seems nowhere rents out kayaks. Very surprising for a country with a whole load of rivers and a missed opportunity, maybe?
Looking at other options now.
