Interesting comparing this with my footage from 3 weeks ago. The river looks a lot higher in your video than it was for me. When were you paddling?

^^Depends what time of day you hit it. From about 3pm the levels on the Ötz have shot uo dramatically all summer.

That would explain it. I was on late morning/early afternoon. Great fun, but one day I would like to give it a go at these levels!

This was back in June. There was a big storm up the valley and the river hit over two meters on the Brunau gauge during the day. We hit it after work in the evening, was a blast!
