Post by clueless130 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 10:00 am

Hey there,

Im trying to organise a universiy club trip to the Austrian Alps in summer (mid/late June) and was wondering if anyone could suggest any campsites to stay in around Landeck or any other good spots that are nice and entral to a lot of paddling?

Sorry if this isnt the right place for this post, but ive been looking for a while and just wondered if there was any personal advice you could give!

Thanks guys!

Aktiv Camping in Prutz is very cenral to most of the paddling in the Tirol area. It is quite a family oriented campsite so might not be ideally suited to a large uni group but is ideally situated and if you're not too rowdy would be a good option.
It is right on the banks of The River Inn at the take out of The Tosens section.

Another option is this campsite. I've not stayed there myself and it is further up the Inn valley in Pfunds right on the Swiss border so much handier for the Swiss sections of The Inn and Engadine region. It looks to be a little less regimented than the campsite in Prutz and has a large swimming lake in the middle. I think this one is probably better suited to a large uni group.

These are the two that immediately spring to mind although there is another one near Haiming behind a bar / diner called Oilers. Again I have never stayed at this one but it looks like another good option and handy for The Oetz area.

Hi, We were over in October to watch the Sickline. We stayed in Oetz which is the centre for the sickline. There is a place called Area 47 which caters for everything you would need. Have a look at it online and see fro yourself. Oetz is a really nice place with plenty of good bars and eating places.

Has a lake you can use to get your roll back in shape!

The campsite in Pfunds is great, you can camp right by the lake and swim in the morning :)
Done a Scottish river not on the site? Message me!
