Paddling in the tenby Area

Post by Riskydave » Wed Dec 14, 2016 12:51 pm

So I'm going to be staying in Tenby over the Crimble period (23rd-29th).

I'm basically a G3 WW paddler with a bit of G4 experience (though I would not do even G3 on my own, especially on water I am unfamiliar with!).

Never having been in the Tenby area before, is there any paddling to be had?

By the looks of it, we're staying right on the coast by a small bay (apologies I don't know the name of it) - the pictures appear to show some small surf, is kayak surfing possible/permitted in the area? Any nice G1-G2 runs I can take the family down (canoes not kayaks) or any G3 in the area and locals willing to meet up for a day for a paddle?

Thanks in advance

Don't know much about the rivers, but there's definitely surf in the area (though not Tenby itself unless conditions are spot on). Asking the question on the surf forum might get some good suggestions.

Goatboy,

Thanks. I shall indeed ask.
