Looking for a kayak for a young child

Post by Rob_d_uk » Sat Sep 24, 2016 11:55 am

Hi,

I am looking for a small boat for a 4 year old as a first boat.

Any opinions are welcome. It seems the best range for 15/16kg is the Jackson Shooting Star/Sidekick/Fun 1. If any one has one of those for sale please let me know. If anyone can suggest other suitable boats that would be awesome.

Thanks for looking

Rob

I've been using a sub 7 1ball.
Works pretty well

Dagger Dynamo or Pyranha Rebel... both good children's boats

If you can find one an Inazone 212 would be good as well.

I would really suggest am InaZone 212. It's a properly nice handling mini boat. It seemed much less prone to rear deck catches than a friends Rebel, but that may be a technique thing too.

We loved ours, and moved kids up through various InaZone's
