I have Riot Superstar I'd sell - which as I understand it is a cheaper and more versatile (but not as good as what it's good at) contemporary of the Glide/Slice.
Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
Thanks for that..Ill still keep seeking for the mentioned boats for a while..thanks ..

Got a Pyranha Loki (Medium) for sale in South Wales, a old skool style boat with modern outfitting if you are interested!

Interested in a Riot Dominatrix 54, similar to what you're after I think. Needs a little (very little) bit of work. Mostly me putting a few bolts back in place, before you could take it. The front central foam is missing but you could make something, think I've got a little foam foot block in the loft.
It's not perfect but it's definitely solid..
It's been knocking around for a while now I last paddled it when I was 19. I've kept hold of it for nostalgia but it's in the way and a waste of a good boat.
If you're interested.. 07736 305 691 or Devaney_05@hotmail.co.uk

Where have they all gone? Peoples garages and gardens.
They are worth so little to sell these days that I know a fair number of paddlers that have at least one old school playboat in their fleet (mine is a Wavesport Foreplay) that only gets used on rare occasions but will probably never get sold. They bring in so little cash that unless you are desperate for the space you might as well hand on to them for sillyness if the mood takes you that way.

Those aren't pld school boats - these are and bonus points (don't cheat) if you can name the weir and even more points if you can name a 1968 world championship silver medalist in kayak slalom on the water.

There's a slice on ebay at the moment and they do appear periodically on there.
Also a couple of dominatrixs.
Just keep an eye out on there and maybe ask on one of the used kayak group son FB as well.

Incidentally I used to think the superstar was a great boat. Much better than the Glide which crippled my feet.

Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
They are all in my garage:
Glide
Topo
Snipe
Gyramax
Session+
Sea King
Ocoee
Sawn off C1 (from the batmax line as far as I can tell)
Most have little or no re-sale value, I did try to sell the Glide years ago after I got the Session+ and thought I wasn't going to use it again, but there was no interest even if I was virtually giving it away. Subsequently I fell in love with it again and no you can't have it.

Been looking for another XXX..swore I'd never sell my last and third one...Now they seem to have all gone!!!!
Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
How old school do you want.
I have a Pyranna Stunt Bat I would be happy to pass on - arguably the first playboat design.

Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
I've got a Pyranha S8 225 but (and you could take this as an answer from most people that have a similar boat) I really never want to part with it for the reason that if I do there is a high chance I won't get anything similar ever again, modern playboats are so different it's insane (and yes I'm guilty of owning and using a few too myself but they are fun). I use my S8 for surfing at the beach because it's great fun, and at man made whitewater as I don't want to damage or break it, I even treat it more carefully than my K1 racer sometimes. The point is they are so rare and so out of date they are sacred. The closest thing we could get nowadays is a Loki.

Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
If you mention that you are thinking of selling this one I will beat you to within an inch of your life with it !
Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
Yeah! this ones going nowhere...Right then where's the surf!!
Re: Where have all the old school boats gone!!
Got a Savage Scorpion sitting outside ... don't know whether that counts? Not for sale, anyway. Had it since they first came out & it's still my go-to boat on the rare occasions I'm not on the salty stuff.
