Soca river

Post by Gawage1 » Fri Apr 08, 2016 9:47 pm

I'm planning on heading out to the Soca this summer and was wondering if anyone can recommend any books / webpages / blogs which have good guides of the river sections on the Soca. Cheers

On this site, go to rivers/reports/Europe page 2 and there is a Soca Guide.

When you get there , go to the Tourist information centre in Bovec they will supply you with the river tickets which cost approx Euros 10 for 5 days (and are compulsory) and a river map.

That is quite an increase Simon. Thanks for the warning.

If you go for the week that's 21euros. I can only get a morning's parking in London for that. Even in the sticks, £4 per day is not uncommon so, for parking alone it's not bad value.

I don't disagree at all Adrian. Looking at the facilities they provide and the way they have invested in this form of tourism, I am more than happy to support them.

I must have remembered the daily price incorrectly as it was Euros 2.50 , so an increase to Euros 3.0 is OK by me. The weekly rate (which we used) last year was Euros 10 so I would anticipate that will increase to around 12.00.

I agree it is still a bargain.
