What happens when it all goes wrong?

Post by Adrian Shanahan »

Yesterday I took a swim on a fairly sporty rapid.

I wrote a bit about it here

Glad all turned out all ok and thanks for sharing, everyone is between swims and it doesnt hurt to practice evry now and then. My last swim was a hole in France after heavy rain, I've got my Haribos in my BA ready for the next one.
Below are a couple of swims caught on camera worth a watch as well.

This is April 2012, the paddler didnt want to lose his gear so stayed with it, he let it go eventually and was never recovered.

This is in 2012 on a very high Upper Dart, at the start you see someone portaging who has recently rowed across the Atlantic, then the eventual swimmer questioning the level with the camera paddler, a very quick and efficient rescue is carried out. The boat was recovered 12 miles downstream
