Re: Tawe Rescue
Very sad new, Our thoughts are with Damians family and friends.

It is with great regret that the committee has to inform you of the loss of our well respected Dr Damian Pryor who died yesterday, pursuing what he loved on the River Tawe. Despite every effort by his colleague and the emergency services . A full enquiry is underway and our heartfelt thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Re: Tawe Rescue
Very sad news, Damian was a good sport and a modest man. An everyman kayaker who enjoyed his hobby, I'm glad to have known him.
My thoughts and sympathy go out to his family, co-paddler on the day and to all at Cardiff Canoe Club.

Re: Tawe Rescue
I only knew him from my visits to Cardiff and when I saw him on the river. Always friendly and open for a chat. When I first started going to CIWW regularly I always felt guilty that I could never remember his name, even though he always remembered mine! Feels a bit bizarre as I spoke with him last week bumping into him after a run on the Upper Wye. Enthusiastic and friendly to the last. Gut wrenching is the only phrase I can use to describe what has happened. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Rest in Peace Damian. I only paddled with you a couple of days in North Wales back in 2013, but remember your optimism and can-do attitude. Thoughts are with family and friends.
