Try Mark Allen of Gene 17. He is the ZET rep, Dartmoor based, and has demo boats.

Are you down just for the day? I might be able to get you a boat for tomorrow as only just seen this, my spare boat is out on loan.

Mark Allen is the principal team member of Zet Kayaks UK, and has demo boats on hand. However he is not in the UK at present, nor does he work for Gene17Kayaking. Try Deb Pinniger, she'll should be able to help, if only to help you get hold of one of Mark's boats.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the kind people that pm'd me. I ended up driving to the dart empty handed and placing my fate in the good humanity of kayakers ( assuming I would end up being shuttle driver!). Luckily I met a lovely chap called Matt, who despite having never met me, lent me his boat for a quick lap down the Upper.

The kayaking community rocks. Thanks Matt.
