Tried a few rivers in Spanish Galicia - all had potential but turned out to be dammed, in one case right in the middle of a great canyon with all the water extracted...

Got the impression that this is par for the course, hope I'm wrong.

We hooked up with the locals for a couple of days before heading onwards to the granite of Portugal. Peter Wood made contact, give him a shout for details as they took us to some ok/good kayaking.
