Dart water

Post by Mark R » Wed Jan 11, 2006 7:51 pm

I've given up even bothering to check if the camera is working these days.

How has it been flowing through the past few days? How is it now, please?

http://www.metcheck.com is a bit shifty and is hedging its bets...seems to be suggesting that it might come up at the weekend, and then again it might not...

The camera's working again now. Was running well today after last night's rain, but slowly dropping off. Should be ok for tomorrow- let's just hope it rains for the weekend!

It certainly rained a lot on Tuesday night but looks like a dry night in Devon tonight. Prayer mat is being warmed up as we speak for the w/e.

Maybe surf saturday, as more rain predicted then and the surf should be best, and stuff should be up for sunday?

Now, if I can find some people to go down with, and somehow to shuttle at the end, I'll be very happy :o

Ben - I'm there all weekend with Scouts (looping), but Graham is planning a trip down just on Sunday (Gr4'ing).

Cheers Chas, good luck with the scouts.

More a matter of finding people up here to fill my car up so I can split the £90+ quid of driving around for the weekend.

I'm down on the loop next weekend with 20 (!!!) people from my club, which is going to be nightmarish... I'm going to need a good weekend padddling soon as that weekend replaces the good boating we had new years...

Upper at full sport this morning after 13mm yeasterday, just short of the high water mark when I took off, by the afternoon the slap was exposed again.

MetCheck are says some rain for Saturday night 7mm, where as the Met Office suggest Friday will bring a lot of rain!! Eitherway some fair sport for us all.

Wales or Dartmoor?

Whether to stay in Devon and hope the Dart comes up, or go to Wales and take the new bike up Snowdon if it doesn't rain.

decisions decisions
