French Alps with a toddler

Post by ali »

So we're off paddling next week to Briancon but this time with an 18 month year old. Any recommendations of parks, things to visit, swimming pools near the usual rivers gratefully received. Austria and Switzerland have been brilliant for combining babies and kayaking, we're hoping France will be as good.

Hi Ali!!!

There is a really nice peaceful park in Briancon. It is in off the roundabout that leads up to the Old Town. Also I have really fond memories of playing at Embrum lake! Which is good for Durance runs. There's a cafe and children's play area there. Also there is a park next to the Argentier course in the middle of the lake - good for Onde/Gyronde/Slalom course runs.

My mum also used to take me to Valouise as there is a nice cafe which does good crepes and ice cream. Again good for an Onde run.

Generally p!ssing people off since 1984!
