Insurance for perpetual river bums?

Post by sarajames » Thu Apr 10, 2014 11:00 am

In the past I have always used snow card or BMC, however neither will cover me for my current requirements.

Any suggestions? I need someone who will cover me for trips over 90 days, including america, including Class V white water.

Help?! Please.

Out of interest, how much are people paying for yearly travel insurance? I could have bought a boat with mine this year...

I'm looking at this too, Perkins Slade only do trips up to 6 months, which isn't long enough. Campbell Irvine that Simon posted look reasonably priced from what I've seen.

Eeonz, my annual cover last year was with Harrison Beaumont, and was really cheap, covered me and my kit for trips up to 90 days and was only £90.

Blimey, they just more then halved the quote I got from snowcard, £31! Thanks
Rum and coke, best served by the pint.

That's why I went to them initially. They also seemed reliable as payed out when I, ahem, left my boat in a cave. Although they are only the broker, not sure what underwriter they are using at the moment.

Ha, that's a bit of a euphemism James.
