Contact Graham Mackereth of Pyranha, he may well offer you a break down of what it is, and may, just even offer to buy it off you. He collects these kinda things.

Thinking of giving it a polish and hanging it on the wall but it would be interesting to hear any history on it - if there is any. Looks like it should be in a museum.
