Looking at those release dates I see that the Moriston is releasing on Saturday 13th September and the Garry on Sunday 14th September. Are we able to deduce from this information that the WWPF will be held on this weekend?

Yes, just seen this too: http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/foru ... 5&t=110264

Full SEPA version is on the SCA site as a PDF & Word document. There will be a summary on there as well soon.

Sorry to resurect an old post. Looking at the volumes for the Awe are we going to see a regular release that can be paddled or are the below dates the only ones the river is at a paddlable level?

Sunday 27th July [Last Sunday in July] 0800-0800 (24 hours)
Sunday 31 August [Last Sunday in August] 0800-0800 (24 hours)
Sunday 28 September [last Sunday in September] 0800-0800 (24 hours)
Friday 17 October, releasing at 1200 for 72 hours
Friday 31 October, releasing at 1200 for 72 hours
Friday 14 November, releasing at 1200 for 72 hours
Friday 14 November, releasing at 1200 for 72 hours
Friday 28 November, releasing at 1200 for 72 hours

I am not sure. If I can find one, will look at old SEPA freshet documents and see what was released then. To be honest though, it is going to be a "look and see".....

Sorry to refresh an old thread.

Can anyone help me- I am keen to get out this weekend and from Lewes' spreadsheet it looks like the Awe is releasing but from the SCA website it does not say it is.

Does anyone know if it is or isn't?

Many thanks
Craig

If you dig further in the SCA website you'll find a link to the full document from SEPA with all the planned freshets for the year which is as close to definitive as you can get.

Do check the notes section for each river/release though, sometimes you will come accross a note like "After xth of Y freshets may be cancelled for reason z"
Can't remember if it gives any contact details to find out though.

Oban Canoe Club have been paddling on the Awe for the last month or so and so far the level has been nice, small wave at the barrage but the rest of the river is good so even if there is no release still a nice paddle

Thanks for your help. Lewes- thanks for pulling all this together- just so you know I was not trying to point out any inaccuracies only to establish if there would be a release.

Thanks Dave- I will keep this in mind.

Cheers
