They wouldn't bother putting the handles on a prototype.

Depends on the kind of prototype and how far along in the process they are. Dagger often do make their prototypes almost to the standard of production models so that they can be safely tested in appropriate environments.

Why not ask Snowy, he's the one paddling the boat.

Because it's daggers latest publicity game. The advent calendar approach...

First a joke about that picture... Does that mean that I could buy one and become a Hero in a Halfcut

More seriously: Don't they already have the Dagger Approach?

Yeh but its no way near as good as the fusion or ethos imo...

I quite like this game. Good on dagger for some fun marketing.

Ah - from that image I can only surmise it's a reboot of the 'twitchy nerve-wracking creeker' concept that informed the WaveSport 'Mutant':

Or it may be a modern take on Rainbow's slow-to-take-off (in more ways than one) 'Ninja' playboat:

I think it's easy to see it's not a creek boat, it's too small and narrow, and given that the Mamba has a massive back deck, any Nomad replacement is likely to be the same. The bow lines looks a lot like a boat already in use by Team Dagger.

Looks like Dagger wish you to play their game, but there are some fine guesses on Dagger's Facebook Page.

I really hope that all of this isn't just to announce the successor to the Green Boat or something...

Or a crossover kayak. There was a mutant ninja turtle picture given as a clue, and the Wizards Eye video showed a green touring kayak on the yacht.

Looks like it could be called Katana, really good name. Looks like they are going for same grab handles as the Wavesport Recon, so is it a creeker? I don't think so. I think that with Dagger and Wavesport both being under Confluence it may be they're looking at the range across both companies to see what needs replacing and then how best to place it. I'd say the Fuse is past it and the Diesel maybe a bit old; as is the Nomad but the Nomad has an absolutely huge following still. Don't cook the goose etc.etc.

So looking at it I'd guess it's somewhere between a Fuse and Diesel, maybe a sort of Zen type boat, but brought out under the Dagger badge instead of Wavesport to leave room for the recent Recon to forge ahead without distraction. On the other hand, I could be talking bollox!

Why does a creek boat necessarily have to be wide?

Katana, it is a freaking fishing boat!

Got the name but didn't see that coming. First reaction similar to Morsey
a freakin' fishing boat
but to be fair it looks pretty good.

So is it going against Fluid Big Bang type expedition boats or Wavesport Ethos crossovers? Looks better than I thought when I first heard what it would be but is it worthy of the name Katana? If any of you are old enough to remember the first ever Suzuki Katanas when they first arrived you'll know what real cutting (sic) edge design is. Still, made in Britain by master moulders, definitely need to demo and see what it's about.

Good luck Dagger, hope it sells by the bucket. One plea, give us a good price!
