Corsica 2013 Who's going?

Post by Patrick Clissold » Thu Mar 14, 2013 10:13 am

Who's going to Corsica this year? A group of us are heading out there in just over a week.

I know this has been discussed many times, but does anyone know the definitive answer on whether it is worth heading to the Rizzanese/Codi anymore?

A group of us are heading over on the 28th March for a week. We were wondering the same thing about the Rizzanese/Codi.

I go for sure, to the Kayak Session event, fun in the sun. News from friends there today, nice levels already, plus a great snow pack from this winter awaits.

If there had be rain the Riz would have run last year but the dam was damn near done.

Is the Travo only on a Monday or Friday thing still relevant?

We´re planning to be there from around the 9th until the 22nd of April. Latest reports are of good high water levels and a good snow pack, so there should be plenty of water still to come :)

I´ll be at the Ernella campsite on the Tavignano river, ready for the Kayak Session Festival. I´ll have plenty of extra equipment with me in case anyone needs to replace lost or broken gear.

White Descents will also be available for running shuttles if anyone´s stuck. Checkout the website www.whitedescents.com for my contact details.

As to the Rizzanese I haven´t heard anything yet, but on the Kayak Session website there still seems to be a glimmer of hope for this year.

cheers, Ted

There's a group of 8 of us heading over from the Pyrenees to see what Corsica has to offer.

We're heading of next week and we'll be there from 29th til 6th. Big silver van with trailer and Spanish plates.
We may look big and ugly but we're quite nice really!

Three of us going out from the 28th. Seems a popular week! Fingers crossed for some water.
Better a bad day on the water than a good day at school!
