Trees on Middle Doon

Post by underclass » Sat Nov 19, 2011 5:56 pm

From the Gorge section downwards there are several trees down spanning the river. Had to maneuver quickly and do some limbo. There are also many low branches which can easily snag a paddler. I nearly lost my helmet on a low branch just above the drop in the gorge. There are branches and general debris down this section of the Doon. It was runnable but kept us on our toes.

It's my local run. It is clogged with trees again. runnable though. we went in there with chainsaws and ropes and tidied it up a while back but these storms have caused havoc. I love it when its high as possible and the bridge is a portage.
Whats the worst that can happen?
