Tree In the Nith Gorge

Post by m-watson » Tue Dec 17, 2013 7:11 pm

Just paddled this to day at a low level 1.00m and just making anyone aware that there is a tree stuck in the last rapid in gorge in the main left channel at this level there is no way through although in higher water I think this would be fine as it would be submerged,as when paddling the Halloween paddle I did not notice the tree,But we also cleared the path of the river right channel for anyone else paddling at a low level again.Team Borders

The main channel mentioned by m-watson is now clear; there's now a different tree lying across the right hand (rarely used) channel.

There is also a decent sized root-ball sitting on the pour-over with its trunk (approx 20ft) pointing directly downstream.
